This chapter describes the prerequisites to install the SCA Studio 2.1 on a Windows-based server and client systems that access the SCA Studio Web site. Before you start the installation, you must configure the other system configurations.
Hardware requirements
The following table lists the minimum hardware requirements to host SCA Studio2.1 Server and client machine (IE 6.x). For optimal performance, SSA Global recommends the higher configuration.

System configuration
You must set the following configuration on the server before you perform the installation:
Configure a Web site in port 85
You must have a Web site running on port 85 during the SCA 2.1 Studio installation. To configure the Web site, take the following steps:
1 On the Start menu, click Settings ??Control Panel ??Administrative Tools
· Internet Services Manager to start the Internet Service Manager.
2 Select from the Internet Information Services tree the server name on which you want to install SCA Studio 2.1 and, on the Action menu, point to New and click Web Site. The following screen appears:

Note: In case of IIS 6.0, select the Web sites in the left pane and, on the
Action menu, point to New, and click Web Site.
The Welcome wizard appears.

3 Click Next to continue.
The Web Site Description dialog box appears:

4 Enter the Web site description and click Next to continue.
The IP Address and Port Settings dialog box appears:

5 Change the default port number 80 to 85 in the TCP Port this Web Site
Should Use field and click Next to continue.

6 Select the path for your home directory. This path must preferably be the directory where you want to install SCA Studio 2.1. You must first create this directory to select the path. If you install SCA Studio 2.1 in a location other than the location you specify here, the home directory path for this Web site
changes automatically to the installation path during the SCA Studio 2.1 installation.
7 Click Next to continue.
The Web Site Access Permissions dialog box appears:

8 Specify the permissions and click Next to complete the wizard settings.

9 Click Finish to create the Web site.
After you create the Web site, you must run the iisreset command in the command prompt to reset the IIS Server. Next, you must check that the Web site is running. If not, click Start on the Action menu to go to the Web site. The status of the newly created Web site is now set to Running.

Configure SQL Server with Windows authentication
You must configure SQL Server for the Windows authentication. To configure
the SQL server, take the following steps:
1 On the Start menu, point to Programs ??Microsoft SQL Server and click
Enterprise Manager to start the SQL Server Enterprise Manager.
2 Select SQL Server from the SQL Server Group tree.
3 On the Action menu, click Properties to open the SQL Server Properties
(Configure) dialog box.
4 Click the Security tab, as shown in the following figure:

5 Click SQL Server and Windows and click OK to configure SQL Server authentication.

To Install SCA Studio 2.1
Install SCA Studio
To install SCA Studio 2.1 on your server, take the following steps:
1 Download the media of SSA Conversion Adapter from the software store. Unzip the files to a folder in the machine on which you want to install the SCA Studio and double-click SCA 2.1.3.exe to run the program. The SSA CA Studio 2.1.3 InstallShield Wizard appears. This wizard reads the package
contents and extracts the file required to install SSA CA Studio 2.1.3 on your computer.

2 Click Next to continue.

3 Click Next to continue.
The Choose Destination Location dialog box appears:

4 Specify the destination folder where you want to install SCA. You can accept the default of click rowse to specify a folder manually.
5 Click Next to continue. The installation process now starts. To Install SCA Studio 2.1 | 4-5
The Start Copying Files dialog box appears, which reviews the settings before the file copy begins.

6 Click Next to begin to copy the files, or click Back to change or review any of the settings.
When the setup is complete, the Supply the Database Information dialog box appears:

7 Enter the name of the SQL server on which you want to create the SCA database, SQL server user name, and associated password. You must have permission to create a database, tables, and stored procedures in the database server.
8 Click Next to continue.
Note: To improve the performance of SCA Studio 2.1, you can install the SQL Server on a separate dedicated database server. In this case, the SQL Server Client components must be present on the SCA Studio 2.1 server.
The wizard creates the SCA20 database in the SQL Server, and also creates the tables and the required stored procedures in the SCA20 database.

The wizard configures the default Web site with port number 85 on the IIS Web server:

9 Click Finish to complete the setup.
